The Nanny Department was established by Maria Robertson, the founder of the New Mummy Company, which has provided Canadian families with specialist newborn nannies since 2012.

Maria has worked across the world as a Newborn Care Specialist and Nanny for over 21 years. Now, due to high demand, is delighted to offer traditional nanny placement services to Canadian families.

Maria has a wealth of industry knowledge and international experience and has been helping to transition families from newborn care to nanny care all her career. Hence, the Nanny Department was born and is already helping families across Canada to find the perfect nanny. test

Our Mission

Our mission at the Nanny Department is to take the hassle and stress out of searching for a nanny. It takes substantial time and effort to advertise and screen candidates. We make it a smooth, simple and efficient process. On average we rule out 90% of candidates during the initial screening process. We also ensure that background checks, police checks and references are all in place and thoroughly vetted.

Our Approach

Here at the Nanny Department, we take away all of the stress in finding a nanny. We present you with only top quality candidates who have already been through our unique 12 point screening process. We are so rigorous with our high standards that only about 1 in 10 nannies who apply to work with us are taken on board.
